BayChat Founders terms

1. The programme

BayChat Founders is an early-access programme for BayChat, run by SeaQuest Software LLC, 8 The Green, Suite B, Dover, DE 19901 (Delaware, United States of America) ("we", "us"). These terms add to the BayChat Terms of Service (baychat.io/legal/terms), which apply in full. Where the two differ about the Founders programme, these terms apply.

2. Who qualifies

A Founder is a person who applied at baychat.io/founders, confirmed their email address, was approved by us, and created a BayChat account with that exact address. There are up to 100 founding places. We approve applications in waves and decide who is approved; applying does not guarantee a place.

An approval can be used once, for one account.

3. The beta

BayChat is in beta. It is provided as-is and as available: features change, and there may be bugs and interruptions. The disclaimers and limits of liability in the Terms of Service apply. The beta runs on the same production service everyone will use; your data is not reset when the beta ends.

4. Free Pro

Each Founder's Personal Bay gets BayChat Pro free for 30 days, counted from the day that Founder creates their account — the same number of days for every wave.

Nothing is charged without a payment method. If you do not subscribe by the end of the 30 days, your Bay moves to the Free plan; your chats, agents and files stay. We email you about five days before the free days end.

5. The founder price

If you subscribe to Pro from your Personal Bay, the founder discount is applied automatically: on monthly billing, 50% off for the first 12 months ($9.50 a month instead of $19); or on yearly billing, 50% off the first year ($95 instead of $190).

After that, 25% off ($14.25 a month, or $142.50 a year) for as long as the subscription remains continuously active.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable tax, which is added at checkout where it applies. The founder discount cannot be combined with other promotion codes.

The discount ends if you cancel or the subscription otherwise ends. A later subscription is at the regular price.

6. Teammates

You may invite teammates to your Bay by email invitation. While your Bay is on Pro, they use it with your Bay's Pro. They are members of your Bay, not Founders: the founder price, the free days and the Founder badge are yours.

7. Not transferable

Founder status, the free days and the founder discount are personal to the Founder and their Personal Bay. They cannot be sold, transferred, moved to another Bay or account, or exchanged for money.

8. What we ask

We ask Founders to use BayChat for two weeks, connect at least one agent, answer two short surveys, and, if they like, take a 15-minute call. These are requests that help us build BayChat; they are not conditions of the free days or the discount.

9. Changes and the end of the programme

We may stop accepting new Founders, or end the programme for new people, at any time. That does not take away free days already granted or a founder discount already applied to an active subscription.

We may end Founder benefits for anyone who breaks the Terms of Service.
